The 3rd International Microbial Fuel Cell Conference will be held from 6-8 June 2011 in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. The conference is organized by Wetsus, Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology and the sub-department of Environmental Technology of Wageningen University. Both institutes are known for their advanced research in the fields of MFCs and MECs.

The conference has the objective to exchange research ideas and to establish links between research areas to improve Microbial Fuel Cell performance and widen its range of applications.
